A Well-Deserved Treat

Last Friday, February 24, when we went to Wensha Spa (care of Mayor's wife, Atty. Menchie) to assist some of her colleagues and at the same time be relaxed as well.

It is my all-time love to pamper myself at least twice a month and I always end up having none. Okay. Workaholic as it may sound but my time is very limited for that kind of relaxation.

Thank God for this treat :)

Let me now share you this simple treat that we've had:

We waited for the guests that we will assist in this cozy lounge that they had. Actually, we just waited for them since there are receptionists and staffs of Wensha who assisted them. haha! While waiting, vanity striked and so we have the following photos. Sorry for the resolution of the photos, we only used phone cameras because our main goal is just to enjoy and relax. We didn't expect that the place will invite us to take photos.

After assisting, we filled our stomach first. Wensha Spa offers buffet plus shabu-shabu and it is included the package that was given to us. Again, sorry because I have no photos to share, just what I ate. HAHA!

soup, pork adobo with pineapples with rice, siomai, dumpling, and buchi :)

Dresscode is needed while inside the spa and so we've had these:

locker bracelets to secure our lockers :)

slippers. mine's blue :)

robe and shorts that made me look like a Japanese girl :)

We didn't went to the wet area because we have to go naked and we are not that ready that time so we went straight to our target, the foot spa/massage area. More than what we expected, the place was really inviting and relaxing.

We all chose to have foot massage.Foot plus back plus arm massage plus movies plus plus are what we've had by just choosing the said service. Each masseuse is well-trained so the service is really good. Sulit na sulit! :)

they are really professional :)

Ate Cel and I came late so we waited for few minutes first

and the rest was history :)

Being overwhelmed by a truly relaxing service, we decided to eat again then went back to the office.

The experience was quite short but our feet felt free from the stress that they've been carrying.

To those who feel stressed and looking for a place to relax, I recommend Wensha Spa. Your P680 will include buffet, shabu-shabu, body massage, use of their sauna, jacuzzi and steamed bath, and you can stay there for 6 hours. Not bad, right?

Treat yourself once in a while. As a saying goes and my always note to myself, "Love yourself first before others."

Many thanks, Atty. Mechie, for this treat! :)

RIP, Whitney Houston; Hello, Valentine's Day!

Her love, joy and hope was sent to us through her music. Who doesn't know the lyrics of "Greatest Love of All," "Saving all my love for you," and "I will always love you?"

Whitney Houston is truly a music icon, a LEGEND. Celebrity or not, young or old, almost everyone knows her. Without knowing her whole story, people in every part of the world loved her and most especially her music.

Allow me to post this status of a friend that caught my attention while I was writing this post:

"Flooding myself with her music all day long made me realized and felt how much love and passion she have committed in her music. God is so great for letting us all witness his heavenly craft. She was the first singer I admired and loved. I remember the old times when I was desperately trying to hit the high notes in her song “Run To You” while bathing. That may sound bad, but that was from my heart. Even at my young age, I have loved you and forever I will. Rest in Peace. You will truly be missed."

Whitney, you will surely be in our hearts forever.

Today is Valentine's Day. I was supposed to publish this post yesterday but I realized that it will be better if I'll post it today because everyone is celebrating love on this special day.

Let my Valentine greeting be a reminder from the song that we all know:
"Learning to love yourself is the GREATEST LOVE OF ALL."

Remember that it not just today that we must celebrate love. Instead, let us celebrate love each day of our lives. God is love.

As my Facebook status states:
Let it be the day of love, not just for lovers, but for everyone, especially our family. Let it also be our reminder that LOVE is the most precious gift of God to all of us. Spread love. Love life. Live with love. ♥

HAPPY
VALENTINE'S
DAY!

What is success?

Last night, I was looking for a paper to write a message for a founding anniversary of a certain school in Antipolo (since my laptop is under repair) when I saw my mom's old notebook and saw these inspiring words that made me look up to her more.

It was written like this:

What is success?
  • To laugh often and love much
  • To win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children
  • To earn the approval of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends
  • To appreciate beauty
  • To find the best in others
  • To give one's self without the slightest of return
  • To have accomplished a task

I remembered how my mom rejected being in a higher position many times. I am always asking her why and she always answers that she doesn't want it because it will require her to spend more time at work. She always says that though we need money for survival, we need to be rich with those things that are more essential in life.

Success is indeed something we cannot hold and money can't buy. As the song Price Tag says, "It's not about the money, money, money."

And of course, you know you're successful if your heart feels happy and light  :)
