i just love these two words - THANK YOU :)

This was my facebook status a while ago because it is Thanksgiving Day in America.

I just thought that these two words are both simple but are so powerful. These two words are also taken for granted by us most of the times especially in this busy world of ours. But I guess, these two words are the ones that we must utter the most because it can give joy to anyone and to yourself also.

When I give something to someone, I seldom expect for something in return. All I want to hear are those two words and that will make my day. Seriously, I feel sad when those words are not being used because I know how it feels to hear when someone says that to me and I love hearing it. In fact, if I were to hear it again and again, I will never get tired of it, I'll be more glad and happy.

These two words must be used by us even for the simple things that we are receiving. From the time that we woke up everyday to the time we sleep at night, there are lots of things that we must be thankful for.

So let me have this chance to say thank you for some important things in my life.
  • Thank you Lord for my life. Everyday is such a blessing, new day means new chapter of my life.
  • For my family for all the unconditional love and everything.
  • My friends, for being true. I don't need a lot, just few true will be enough.
  • For the work, love life, mentors and other people who care, THANK YOU!
  • and may i just add, for the problems and trials in life, thank you also for making me stronger person.

Let us be thankful for everything that is happening in our life (a very used line of mine). Good or bad, happy or sad, always say THANK YOU. Anyway, it is not hard to say that, right?

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! :)

BV, go. GV, come.

okay. i must admit. i am not in the mood today to write anything good or anything that i can proudly share with anyone and honestly, I HATE THIS FEELING. i feel like i don't want these things that are happening around me now (with 'these things,' i don't mean all).

i usually wake up everyday and feels good and thankful for the new day in my life. that's how i started my day today but there's something wrong with me as soon as i went to work. i am always telling myself not to look at the bad side of anything but here i am now, feeling all the BAD VIBES that i can feel.

sorry for this post but i just want to have an outlet to let this feeling come out of me (hope it will work) because i really don't want this to stay in me for the rest of the day. GOOD VIBES, please come to me as soon as you can because i can't withstand this feeling anymore. i hate goodbyes, i hate unkind surroundings and most of all, i hate untrue people. :(

i am a true person and people who knows me know that. i will tell people if i like you and i will still tell you if i don't want something about you in front of you not at your back. that is what i want people to treat me. tell me if you like me and if you don't, tell it in front of my face.

quitting has never been my option in my entire life but if this will be the way to make things better, i think, i must do it. anyway, TECHNICALLY, it can't still be considered as quitting.

i don't know what to do. i just can't understand why all of the sudden, things become like these. i am just sad that i have these kind of burden in me when in fact, i did nothing wrong.i want a happy environment, one with true people surrounding me.  i know that people who knows me will understand why i am feeling this way. i don't want to stay in this kind of situation, i really don't.

Lord, i know that You will help me surpass in this kind of situation. please give me all the wisdom to do what is right. i know i can do it because i am with You. :)

BAD VIBES, please let go of me.
GOOD VIBES, please come back, i need you ASAP.

Feel Free and Live Freely

The feeling of being free is the best feeling one can ever have. It is like you don’t have to worry about anything and everything that surrounds you because you know that things will fall into their right places at the right time. Also, when you feel free and you have peace inside you, the better you will feel for yourself.  You even have the power to make others feel the way you are feeling. You will be a lot happier since everything is clean and clear to you. Want to know how to do it? Here are some tips:

Always look clean and neat. Everything starts within you so better dress up well. Choose the right clothes that will suit you and those that can make you feel as neat as possible. Also make sure that when you choose your outfit, you choose those that you are comfortable with. By doing this, you can move freely and you can do things that you really want.

Be responsible of your actions. Not everybody will like you and that is the thing that you must know. Controlling yourself when someone does something against you is one of the ways to feel free. If one person tells you that he/she doesn’t like you then let him/her think that. Anyway, that’s his/her opinion. Just tell yourself that it’s okay and there are lots of people who have more important opinion than he/she has.

Spend time with your family. Have a regular bonding with your family. They are the ones who know who you really are and accept you without any second thought. Your time with your family is irreplaceable so never hesitate doing it once in a while.

Go out with your friends. Being with your TRUE friends is like being with your family so better have time for them also. With them, you can be who you really are. Pretentions are out when you go out with them. You can laugh until your throat comes out or even cry your heart out. With your true friends, you will never feel out. They will tell you whatever it is that they want to tell you and vice versa. It doesn’t matter if you only have few as long as they are TRUE.

Be optimistic. Thinking of negative thoughts is not good. It will just make you stay in a box because you are afraid to do something thinking that you may fail or someone will not like it. Trust yourself. If you think that you are doing the right thing, never hesitate to do it. Always think that everything will be fine as long as it is right.

Laugh a lot. As the saying goes, “Laughter is the best medicine” so it is better to laugh than to cry. Laughing is also one of the keys on how to look young. Always be happy. Appreciate everything in life and you will feel free inside and outside.

Give love. It is one of the easiest things to do since it is natural to all of us. There’s a different feeling when you give and share (I bet that everyone knows that feeling). Learn to share what you have. It doesn’t have to be any material thing. In fact, you don’t have to buy love but you can give and share it without having less for yourself, you will even have more.

Enjoy life. This is the most important of all. Always remember that you only have one life to live so you must enjoy every second of it. Laugh, cry, explore and be happy, everything is your choice. Avoid talking about other people and what they do. Instead, focus on yourself and the people that you love. Anyway, your life is not about them, it’s about YOU and how you will play with it. Life is a game, play it rightly.

The next time you think that living freely is difficult, read it again. Everything is easy, you just have to try. It is free to live so you don’t have to pay for you to feel free. Have fun and enjoy life! :)

Best Christmas Trees in the World

Since it is exactly 40 days before Christmas, I just feel so excited. I know that almost everyone's feeling the same way as I do. I'm so glad to see different Christmas decorations every where i go and more excited to give gifts to my loved ones especially to my godsons and daughters. I really love Christmas because it gives me a joy that cannot be explained in words.

When talking about Christmas, Christmas trees cannot be out of the topic in any part of the world. I love seeing Christmas trees especially those big ones and so as i saw the following Christmas trees, I can't help but be amazed on how it was built and decorated. These were all from last year's Christmas season and i hope that i will get to see something like this posted next year.

  • Trafalgar Square, London. Since 1947, every year, the people of Norway gives London a Christmas tree to give gratitude for the support that was given by the Britains during World War II. It is always been placed in Trafalgar Square and as soon as it is placed there, it means that the countdown for Christmas has started.

  • Puerta del Sol, Madrid, Spain. Spain has a Christmas celebration that is worth attending. The world's biggest lottery is done here. As you go to this place and see the Christmas tree, you will truly feel the spirit of Christmas and feel as if you are the winner.

  • St. Peter Square, Vatican. This is a must-seen place for every Cristian because you will not just feel the true Christmas spirit through praying in the church but will also be able to enjoy the beautiful scene in the place.

  • Galeries Lafayette, Paris. Paris is one of the most visited place during this Christmas season and people are always expecting for each year's Christmas tree that will be place in the department store. Can you believe that more people visits the department store than the famous Eiffel Tower? Well, I know that you will believe it as you see this Christmas tree.

  • Karwendel Mountains, Germany. Seeing this kind of display next to a chapel reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas. Simple yet special. Nothing to say, I am just so amazed.

  • Lisbon, Portugal. This is the largest Christmas tree in Europe last year. It stands 230 feet tall and has a lot of lights. Very beautiful!

  • Murano Island, Venice. Known for their good quality of glasswork, Venica made the tallest glass Christmas tree in the world. This was made by Simone Canedese and for them, it is a reflection of a modern Christmas season.

  • Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka, Tokyo. These amazing lights outside the hotel makes every people want to go in here. This lights forming a Christmas tree stands out among different lights in the city.

  • Monte Ingino, Italy. This is the biggest Christmas tree display in the world. Yearly (every December 7), this Christmas tree is being lighted and gives the people the amazing Christmas experience.

  • Capitol Christmas Tree, Washington D.C. This Christmas tree is decorated with different ornaments made by the school children in the United States. 2009's tree's ornaments mostly came from the children in Arizona. They are all encourage to have their own craft from recycled materials each year. Isn't it just amazing? Recycling and at the same time, making everyone feel that Christmas is coming?

  • Beijing, China. This Fiber Optic Christmas Tree is one of the most popular spot in China in last year's Christmas season. The people in China wants to give every people their message that the birth of Christ is continuously growing.

oh i am so excited for Christmas! I hope to go to these places in the future. :)

But let us all not forget that Christmas isn't just about decorations and feast. It is more about giving. It doesn't matter if you don't have a Christmas tree as beautiful as those mentioned above or if you have no Christmas tree and decorations at all. Remember, it is the time to remember Christ who was born to save us from our sins. Most of all, it is the time to share what we have to those who are in need.

What we will feel in sharing what we have for others is a better feeling than we will feel upon seeing and decorating beautiful Christmas decorations. As a song goes, "Give love on Christmas Day..."   and giving is one form of giving love. In fact, that is the true meaning of Christmas, right?

The key in finding peace

“When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others.” -Peace Pilgrim

We often think it’s the other way around–that if people around us were more peaceful, we’d be able to let go of many of our anxieties, fears, and struggles.

No one else causes our emotions. We are the ones deciding how to respond to the world we experience. We are the ones who choose what goes on in our heads and hearts. And we are the ones who decide whether to focus on all the obstacles to peace or to take responsibility for creating it.

Others may not always be peaceful–in fact, it’s a given that at any point in time, countless people will be in conflict, either with others or themselves. Learning to accept that is the first step toward knowing peace.

this is a reblog. upon reading this on a tumblr site, i just knew that i have to share this one.

Getting better or getting worse?

“Statistics shows that the number of crime this year decreased compared last year but how come most Filipinos feel that it is getting worse now?”

I heard this on a news program yesterday and I became curious and listen to the whole news. It states that the crime rate in the Philippines is lower than last year’s rate but since the type of violence of today is getting worse, people think that people are more prone to danger now. The following are the given examples:
  • The hostage-taking which was done to one person before is now a bus hostage-taking where more people’s lives are at risk.
  • Rape crime before is now in the form of gang rape.
  • The simple frat war before are now worsening which includes more dangerous acts from their members.

I am one of those who can really feel that the crime is worsening here in our country now. In fact, just few days ago, me and my friends were riding a jeepney when a man snatched the phone of a woman from the window of the jeepney. I saw everything that happened and felt really nervous during that time. I also felt sad for that woman who has lost her phone with just a blink of an eye. As I look at her, I know that she wanted to cry but she tried not to because she was in a public place and she was with nobody.

I know how the woman felt during that time since I’ve been through that situation too. My bag was slashed way back 2008 and I lost my phone too. That was my first time so I really cried my heart out when I knew what happened. The phone was a gift from my mom during my graduation in high school and that phone is very important to me but I lost it in just a snap. All these things flashed back on my mind when I saw what happened to the woman. Good thing, I was with my friend when that happened, unlike the woman whom the phone was snatched.

We are just few of those people who have experienced crime like this. We are also few of those many who did not reported the crime because we all know that nothing will happen even if we report it. We are also few of those who do not belong to the statistics that the news is giving us and I really feel bad about it.

It is sad that we all can see how these crimes happen nowadays. These only show that there are needs that aren’t given emphasis. Poverty is one of the reasons why all these things are happening. Government must really do something about this matter.

I will always believe that there are lots of choices on how to survive in this difficult life and that must NOT include doing any crime.

One more thing, to those who have something to share to those in need, let us be generous enough to share what we have. Remember that as we give, God will give us more than what we have given so never hesitate to share.

3 Thoughts for Personality Growth

While waiting in a mall yesterday, 4 girl students sat near me. They were high school students (because they’re wearing their school uniform) aging from 14 to 16 years old. Everything seems normal, they were eating just like me until I heard them talking and I felt sad.

Those girls were talking about how they are lying with their parents. What’s more sad is when I heard one of them telling her friends proudly how she lied to her dad during her mom’s birthday and said that they have a project to do when in fact, she is just going to drink alcohol with her friends. I felt more surprised when her friends said “ang galing mo” and laugh after she has finished telling the story.

Isn’t it has to be the other way around? Am I wrong if I am thinking that her friends must tell her that what she did is a wrong thing? Isn’t it the friends’ responsibility to remind her not to lie to her parents thinking that she choose drinking alcohol than to spend that special day with her family? Is this how the youth really think now? SAD. There are three points of view that made me do this blog post.

FIRST. Lying is not good as we all know. I will be a hypocrite if I will say that I never lied in my entire life but what I can be proud of is that those lie were not that big and I am trying to avoid it as much as I can now. Though it is a hard thing not to commit a lie, we must do our best to avoid it. Also, we all know what is right and what is wrong so we better choose what’s right.

SECOND. As a friend, when our friend tells something that we think is not right, we are responsible in telling them the right thing to do. It may hurt them but it will let them realize that what they did is wrong. Being a friend is not just being with them every time your friend needs you but also being there to help them grow and understand life more.

THIRD. Most of the times, friends are the ones that we are with whenever there are parties and celebrations and that is good. But let us also remember that when one of our family members are celebrating his/her special day, let us do our best to be there. Our family is the only thing that is permanent in this world. Our friends and other people may leave us but our family will remain our family until the end.

These three thoughts I think are very important especially in our personality growth. Years will be added in our life. Isn’t it great that as a year adds up in our age, growing also adds up in our personality? Reality check, we are not forever young and we will never be. Let us not waste each year that God has blessed us. Let us choose to do what’s right for doing what’s right will help us live a better life.

Life is Good

Sometimes, we have to remind ourselves of a simple truth that "Life is Good." Most of the times, we think that we are doing everything yet life isn't still fair to us. We spend hours of work to earn a living, try hard to maintain our good health, do our best to raise a good family or manage a relationship that we have just to feel good. But don't we realize that as we obsess ourselves in doing all of these, there is Someone who is quietly doing a greater job everyday for us?

Our part in this world is just a small part of the universe unlike God. He keeps the world rotating and the planets revolving and makes the season change at the right time. He also makes the sun rise every morning and set every afternoon. He even turns off the light in the sky every night so we can sleep well and turns it on again in the morning for us to see how beautiful the world is. These things are the things that He does for us WITHOUT any help from us. We don't even have to pray for all of these.

Life is sometimes really difficult. Nobody can tell what will happen the next day. Often, it is painful and now it is still imperfect yet it is still GOOD. Life is still good for all of us and we can all testify to it.

Let us learn to appreciate everything that we have in our lives.

Most of the times, we think that life is unfair. Yes, it is. But let us stick in our minds that though life is unfair for now, it will be fair soon and through appreciation, we will all understand that LIFE IS REALLY GOOD.

just a thought :)
