RIP, King of Comedy

You loved a lot. Your family and friends know that.
You suffered a lot. We all know that.
You lived worthwhile. God knows that.

83 years of living for the laughter of others.
83 years of living for Filipinos.
83 years of living for others.

Now that You are in God's hands, we all know that you will no longer suffer.
Now is our time to give it all back to you through prayers.
Now is our time to thank and salute you.

May 1, 2011

goodbye April 2011, hello May!

April has the most number of posts as of now since a lot has happened to me. Maybe it was also my busiest month and a lot of things happened. Unexpected things happened that made me feel like I am tougher than before. As promised (though it's quite late), here's the list and some additional things of what happened last April:
April has been a long month for me. I've ended this month by being with some of my truest friends at Ecopark where I also experienced my first horseback ride. Anyway, I will be blogging it next. Here are some pictures:

This May, I am hoping for a new beginning.

The best way to say goodbye is by saying THANK YOU

I once said that saying good bye is one of the hardest thing to do. But again and again, I will say that changes will happen even if we don't want to. I once said goodbye to the people who left and now, it will be the other way around, I will be the one to say Au Revoir

I thought it will be easier because I will be the one leaving but I was wrong. It is A LOT HARDER than I think. Exactly 1 year and 1 month, I will be leaving the company that I considered one of my families. Its harder to see people crying and feeling sad especially when you know that you're the reason behind their sadness. But then again, I have to be tough and be positive that things really do happen for a reason. And so I prefer to say thank you as my way of saying goodbye.

ATE JESSICA, THANK YOU for being my teammate from the start 'til the end. Thank you for the foods that you've shared with me bilang pareho tayong payat. Thank you for dancing and singing with me during our presentation. Thank you for those laughters that you've shared with me. Thank you for treating me as your little sister. Thank you for understanding me with my kakulitans and kabaliwans. Thank you for those sweet nothings. As we are always saying to each other, maliit ang mundo para sating dalawa. We will surely see each other. I will miss you, that's for sure. Always be strong okay? You will always be my teammate.

ATE APRIL, THANK YOU for also being one of my sister. We may not be that close but I am happy to share smiles with you whenever we look at each other. Thank you for patiently guiding us in our tasks and for sharing your techie side with us. Thank you for making me feel happy whenever I hear you calling me 'Nica' which is my favorite nickname.

SIR JOSEPH, THANK YOU for helping me appreciate foods more. haha! We may rarely talk with each other but I will miss you wanting me to do brofist and appear with you. Thank you for being nice to me. Thank you for the pictures and for letting us see how lovely it is to love creativity. *BROFIST*

MA'AM CHE, THANK YOU for sharing your experience with us. Thank you for giving us advices. Thank you for you smiles. Thank you for making our work loads a bit easier for us and for making us feel that despite the hard tasks, everything will be okay. Thank you po to you and Sir Mito and for your poging-poging baby MJ. I know that you too will take a new path and I am sure that God will guide you because of your good heart.

SIR MELO, THANK YOU for making our day lively with just one laugh and 'banat' of yours. Thank you for those great photos and foods that you've shared us. Thank you for your wisdom and sharing of your experiences with us that made us feel like we want to be like you. Thank you for being so cool when dealing and talking with us. Thank you for catching us as we fall down. haha! :))

KUYA MARCK, THANK YOU for being so good to me. I will miss hoe you call me 'Tiny' bilang feel na feel mo na ang laki mo than me. Thank you for always being there whenever we need you. Thank you for treating us as your true friend though we've only known each other for a year. Thank you for trusting us and for opening up with us. . Thank you for teaching us and being SO PATIENT with us. Thank you for the laughters. You are one of the kindest and hardworking person I've known. I will miss our lunch together. I will miss you.

LILETH, THANK YOU for being with me for 5 years. FIRST TIME NATIN 'TO. :( After 5 long years, from being groupmates in different productions and projects, being thesismates to being officemates, oh my, I am so used to seeing you just beside me. Thank you for sharing a lot of things with me. May it be about sad or happy things, we are always with each other and I know that it will never change. Thank you for the positive thoughts that we've shared with one another. Thank you for the true friendship. Thank you for being one of my angels. Mamimiss ko ang 'wit' at 'chararat' mo. Loveyah girl! :)

CARL, THANK YOU for giving me the opportunity to meet these good people. Thank you for your patience whenever you have to fix my laptop. This will never be too long for our paths will surely cross again bilang magkalapit lang tayo ng bahay. :)

JAK, THANK YOU for also being a true friend since elementary. I guess I don't have to say a lot of things bilang laging pareho ang iniisip natin. Thank you for those times that you are there to listen whebever I have something to share. Thank you for the laughters and putting eye liner to my eyes. Mamimiss kita. Alam mo yan. Alam mo na lahat. :)

SIR GAB, THANK YOU for trusting us to be a part of this company. Thank you for all those things that you've taught us. From the things that we must know about the company to the things that we must know about saving and staying healthy, THANK YOU. I know that these things are hard for you more than we could imagine but I know that you are strong enough to deal with it. Thank you for supporting us and being a cool boss whom we can ask about anything that we want to know. Thank you for making us feel good as we say goodbye.

"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." Yan ang sabi ni Sir Mito. I am happy so I didn't shed even a drop of tear until now. It is not because I am not sad, it is just because I know that it really is not the end.

Thank you for sharing a lot of memories with me. With 1 year and 1 month stay with you, I've learned a lot. Our journey in life will all continue the earth rotates. We all have to move forward along with the changes that we will face along the road.

God is great. He knows what's best for us. He is the only one Who knows what will happen next and so we must trust Him will all our hearts. We are all binded tightly with this friendship that we built together which means that it will be hard to get rid of each other. Sorry, touch-move na, friends na tayo forever.

As what I've said before, this is not the end of our friendship for friendship will forever be in our hearts. Our souls will forever be united and distance will never be a hindrance for us to still love and care for each other. And when I say forever, I mean ETERNITY. I will always be part of EI family. I will all miss you! Loveyah all!

'til we meet again. :)

THANK YOU!

It's been a year: A look back on my accident

JANUARY 29,2010 when I was hit by a van in Cubao. I was a graduating student during that time and in fact, I'm on my way to ABS for my last day of training. Seriously, I thought that I'm gonna die that day. I thought that all my dreams will be vanished in just a blink of an eye.

It's been a year when that accident happened but hey, luckily, I am still here, alive and kicking.

Here are some pictures during that time:

 my 'kawawang' right foot

i really am scared of injections :(
the nurses who assisted me (sila talaga nagpakalma sakin by letting me have photos while they're assisting me)
my newly-bought shoes that was wrecked by the accident (nabinyagan.haha!)

other pictures can be seen here.

Trauma is still with me until now but I guess, that is just a sign that what happened taught me a lesson, to be more careful wherever and to take good care of myself more. Who wouldn't be more careful after what happened to my right foot. Good thing, there was no fracture and I can still walk now.

I always believe that God is always with me wherever I am and this is one of the proofs that He's there, alive and always guiding us. Yes, an accident happened but He didn't allowed me to be in any serious situation. He saved me. He knows that I really want to graduate and help my parents. He knows that I still have a lot of things to do. He knows my heart's every desire. He knows everything about me and He knows that I don't want my life to end that way (but if it's His will, I will obey without any hesitation).

And so, I want to thank God for my life (I guess, my second life. haha!). Thank you also to those who helped me during that time. To that van owner, still, thank you for not leaving me that time.

The accident left a scar on my right foot which will always remind me not just of the accident but also of how good God is. He really is. He will never leave us, we just have to let Him know that we need Him.

For my accident's anniversary, CHEERS! haha! (ako lang ata ang taong nagcecelebrate ng accident)

Thank you Lord for always saving and guiding the accident-prone me. :))

'Til we meet again

Tears fell. Hearts broke. Sadness covered our hearts. :(

Saying goodbye to the people we love and used to be with isn't that easy. Sabi ko nga, MASAKIT. MABIGAT. MALUNGKOT. Sometimes, even if we don't want to, changes happen and the hard part is, we can do nothing about it.The harder part is, we have to accept the fact that they have to leave. And the hardest part is to "move forward" without them.

I've been with these people for almost 10 months now. We've faced ups and downs, happy and sad and that made us stronger. The people who were once strangers to each other became good and real friends. In fact, everybody treated each other as if they were real family. Personally, with them, I found a new family.

"Some good things must come to an end." A very common line that we hear whenever something is drawing to an end. I guess it's true and though it's hard, we must be strong enough to face what tomorrow will be. And so, I'll try to be strong but before moving forward (which I don't know how to start), let me first give few words to the following people:

KUYA ALLEN, thank you for the Cristmas gift. I know you've had a hard time finding that something just to make me feel happy. Take good care of your family, especially cutie Bella! :)

SIR MITO, thank you for being a jolly and cool senior. Though we're not that close, I can always feel your care for us. With your every smile, you can also make me smile. Mamimiss ko ang paglike at comment niyo sa mga posts ko (i know that you can still do that but it will be different this time). Mamimiss ko ang dance moves niyo at ang famous "lol" niyo. Same with kuya allen, take good care of ma'am che and baby MJ. Ingat ka po "John Lloyd."

JAMIE, thank you for all those laughter and bonding that we've had. For always being jolly and energetic, you can rock our world (though sometimes, you have your own world.haha!) Kulang na ang writers :( Take care of yourself always, okay?

SIR RYAN, :( thank you for being the best senior for me. Thank you for all those things that you've taught me. I will treasure all of those. Thank you po talaga. I salute you for your kindness. Team Ryan pa rin ako!

Maybe, thank you will never be enough for me to express how much I am grateful that you became a part of my first job. I will all miss you. The bonding and laughter will forever stay in my heart. You'll always be a part of me wherever I go.

Seriously, I'm crying while doing this post but I can't think of anyway to express what I am feeling. Masyadong mabigat kaya dito ko nalang nilabas.

God is so great. He knew that this moment will come that's why He binded us together and made our relationship stronger. To all of you, this is not the end of our friendship for friendship will forever be in our hearts. Our souls will forever be united and distance will never be a hindrance for us to still love each other. And when I say forever, I mean UNTIL ETERNITY. You'll always be part of the EI family. We will all miss you! Loveyah all! :)

Au Revoir!
'til we meet again! :)

December 28, 2010

The best way to end the year is by saying THANK YOU

They say that "as a door closes, another window opens" and I truly believe in that as much as we know that as this year ends, another year is coming and for me, there is no other way to end the year but to say THANK YOU. This year, 2010 has been really good to me. And so, I want to say thanks to the following:

I. EVENTS THE WHOLE YEAR

JANUARY.
  • New Year. Of course, I want to say thank you for the new year that has come for me and for my family. I am so thankful that we are all in good health. For all the blessings and also for the trials that God gave us last year, THANK YOU LORD!
  • My accident. Yes, I am still thankful though I was hit by a van because that caused me to be more vigilant and careful in walking in the streets now. Also, I am thankful that I can still walk and still alive now. I am one of those lucky ones. :)

FEBRUARY.
  • Training in ABS-CBN. It's supposed to be my last day when the accident happened but I am still thankful that I have given the chance to extend my stay in the network. I really enjoyed my training there and I have learned a lot. I also gained new friends.
  • Paolo's JS Prom. Can't believe that my little brother is now a big boy and I am really thankful that he has grown up as a good boy (though medyo pasaway). haha! It was his first Junior-Senior prom but I am more excited than him. :))

MARCH.
  • Friends' Graduation. Everytime something good happens to my friend, I feel more than happy for them. And since it was graduation time for most of my friends, I am thankful that they have accomplish another goal of them.
  • Got Hired at Broadcore. I've got my part-time job while waiting for our graduation last May. I am so thankful that I am given the chance to this new opportunity and challenge in life. Working with new people is one of the things that I love!

APRIL.
  • PhotoshootS for Graduation. Yes, PhotoshootS with a big S because we have two. haha! I am so thankful that we have these kind of preparation for our graduation. Though we are all not sure if we will graduate during this time, we still decided to have our photo shoot for our graduation picture which will remind us of all our hard works.

  • Other Friends' Graduation. Some of my friends graduated in April and as what I've said above, I am thankful as much as they are thankful for what they have achieved.

  • First Outing with Broadcore. I am so thankful for this new family that I've found. This team building/company outing with them made me more closer with them who are the new part of my life.

MAY.
  • Frank's Birthday/My First Time in Ecopark. I am so blessed with these three people who became so close to me after out on-the-job training. I treat them as my brothers and sister and they treat me the same way. Bonding with them in Ecopark is one of my happiest (pangarap ko kasi). haha!
  • My Graduation Day (THE BIG DAY). May 14,2010. This is the highlight of my 2010 because it is one of the moment that everyone is waiting for, GRADUATION DAY. After all the hardships in school, after 14 years of studying, now, I am ready for the next phase of life. This is also my happiest day in 2010 because I celebrated it with my whole family.

JUNE.
  • Mom turned 45. I am so much thankful for my mom's another year. Another year with good health and another year with us. Thank you Lord for my beautiful mom who doesn't look like 45.

  • My Amnesia Girl Fever. And we still have this fever until the moment that I am writing this. Many thanks for this movie, Den and I became cheesier and sweeter. hahaha! :))

DECEMBER.
  • Broadcore's Christmas Party. Full of laughters and happiness. With my new family, Broadcore, I feel so belong. Many thanks for all the challenging work and for welcoming me in you family!
  • Christmas 2010. We usually don't do the traditional Noche Buena at home because we are busy wrapping gifts for our godsons and daughters. Though we don't practice that, I am very much thankful that we know what Christmas truly means, sharing and giving love.

II. PEOPLE WHO MADE MY YEAR WORTH THANKFUL FOR
  • My Family. The ones who never gets tired of supporting, believing and loving me unconditionally. People who accept and love me for who I am.
  • Den's Family. People who stand as my second family. They all treat me as their family member.
  • Porwan Family. They are the ones who's been with me for many years now. They are my partners in crime and they are my friends who truly knows who I am. With them, I can say that "Appreciation is the best policy."
  • Portu Family. My college family who are there during my ups and downs. With them, I know what "walang iwanan" really means.
  • My mentors. From elementary to college to my supervisors during my training, thank you for all the knowledge.

  • Above all, THANK YOU LORD FOR THIS YEAR! CHEERS FOR 2010 and WELCOME 2011! I feel so blessed! I know that there are lots of things to look forward to.

And as this post's title says, the best to end the year is by saying

Some say that the phrase "thank you" is very hard to say but with me, I am very much willing to say it again and again because for me, it is the easiest but sincerest thing that I can do to give gratitude to those people and events that are making my life worth living. I will never get tired of saying these two words. Anyway it isn't hard to pronounce or write. :)

"Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it."    -William Ward

*i feel like these things and people that are listed aren't enough.in fact, there are lots of people and happenings but i think this page will not be enough so i just chose few. anyway, i am very thankful for every single day and thing that is happening in my life everyday.
